Hello everyone, welcome to our one point lesson. We would like to introduce てform+きます(te-form + kimasu) means “go, do something and come back”.
Please have a look at these examples.
ex. 昼ごはんを買ってきます。(Hirugohan o katte kimasu.)
I will go and buy a lunch (and come back).
買って(katte) is the te-form of 買います(kaimasu).
ex. 昼ごはんを買ってきてください。(Hirugohan o katte kite kudasai.)
Please go and buy a lunch (and come back).
買って(katte) is the te-form of 買います(kaimasu) and きて(kite) is the te-form of きます(kimasu). てform+ください (te-form+ kudasai) means “Please do ~”.
ex. 先週シドニーに行ってきました。(Senshu Sydney ni itte kimashita.)
I went to Sydney last week (and come back).
行って(itte) is the te-form of 行きます(ikimasu) and きました(kimashita) is the past form of きます(kimasu).
We hope this information is useful for you.
Have an awesome weekend peeps!
